Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring critical care experience and VT or compact RN licensure.

Details

Work in the ICU/PCU unit of a hospital setting
Primarily step-down patient population, including ventilated patients with RT support
Manages cardiac drips, insulin drips, and DKA protocols
Responds to Rapid Response and Code Blue events
Assists newer staff with tele rhythm strip interpretation
Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, 3x12s, 36 hrs/week
Works every other weekend
No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

Active VT RN license or multistate compact license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
3-4 years of critical care experience preferred

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care to step-down and critical care patients
Collaborate with respiratory therapy for ventilated patient management
Support newer staff with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
