Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with an active CA license and prior travel nursing experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- General Emergency Department serving a combined adult/pediatric population
- 13-week contract assignment
- Variable 3x12 shifts ranging from 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a
- Every other weekend rotation required with no on-call responsibilities
- Required to float to other CPMC campuses for support when census permits and within scope of practice
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of ED RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with STEMI and Stroke certified facility protocols preferred
- Skills in trauma, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and management of psychiatric and pediatric emergencies preferred
Additional Information
- Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in accordance with unit, department, and hospital standards
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request allowed
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
- First-time travelers are not considered due to the travel experience requirement
