Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a telemetry step-down unit, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• 26-bed step-down unit from ICU with all private rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1
• All patients are on telemetry with heart monitors and critical drips
• Patient population ranges from GI bleed to COVID or respiratory distress cases
• 3x12 day shift schedule, 7a-7p
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for step-down telemetry patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, though local candidates are accepted at a lower pay rate
