Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care CV Unit position requiring stroke patient experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care CV Unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for stroke patients
• Schedule of three 12-hour day shifts per week (0700-1930)
• Holiday rotation required with 6 weekend shifts in an 8-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Single State or CO/Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS, all AHA certifications must not expire prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
• Experience working with stroke patients required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment directly or through delegation and supervision
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
