Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of experience and a compact RN license in hand.

Details

Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital
Patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
Required to work every other weekend
Floating between units and sister facilities required
No on-call responsibilities
Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
Active OR RN license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care to a medical surgical patient population
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted up-front; post-offer requests may not be granted
Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate consideration
Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live more than 50 miles from the facility
Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment due to potential floating requirements
Scrubs may be any color
No parking fee at the facility
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
