Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

33-bed Med/Surg unit with 16 telemetry monitors
Patient population includes ortho (total knee/hip), bariatric (gastric sleeve/gastrectomy), CHF, COPD, TIA, and cardiac cath intervention patients
Maintains approximately a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
Uses MEDITECH as the charting system
Mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available, including days and nights
Weekend shift option available (7a-7p) with every other weekend or flexible scheduling
Block scheduling available for traveling nurses
CCU staff and supervisors available each shift to assist with monitor strip readings

Requirements

Active PA or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
BLS certification required
ACLS preferred but not required
BSN not required

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care on a busy acute Med/Surg floor
No specific scrub color requirement, and scrubs are not provided
Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
