Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a KY or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Medical-Surgical unit located on the 3rd and 4th floors of an acute care hospital
• 57-bed unit with patient ratios up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
• Serves patients of all ages with common diagnoses including COPD, post-op joint procedures, and diabetes
• Uses MediTech EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Call requirements are as needed
• Floating to like units may be required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required
• Must meet all required certifications prior to start of assignment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit treating a diverse adult and pediatric population
• Work alongside a supportive team under the direction of the Med Surg Director
• Candidates should be kind, caring, and compassionate in approach to patient care
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but attire branded from other facilities is not permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
