Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of recent CT experience and required GE/PACS proficiency for a role covering cardiac, oncology, trauma, pain management, and interventional cases.

Details

• 3x12 hour day shifts, Saturday-Monday 7:00am-7:30pm
• On-call required 4-5 days per month and/or overnight coverage (7p-7a) if a tech calls out
• Caseload includes cardiac, oncology, trauma, pain management, and interventional procedures
• Works in adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Level I and Level II trauma center experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Uses GE and PACS equipment
• Biweekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• ARRT-CT certification required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience required
• GE and PACS experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in abdomen and pelvis imaging, abdomen with/without contrast, colorectal studies, pelvis with/without contrast
• Preferred skills in enterography studies and intravenous pyelogram
• Experience with head and neck imaging including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head studies
• Experience with chest imaging including cardiac calcium scoring, coronary angiography, and vascular chest studies (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Preferred experience with aspirations, biopsies, and drainage procedures
• Must pass onsite EKG/Telemetry exam
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One supervisory reference within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across a wide range of specialties including cardiac, oncology, trauma, and interventional studies
• Pediatric acute care and pediatric outpatient experience preferred
• Candidates must not have been permanent Duke University Health System employees within the past 6 months
• RTO must be limited to 5-7 days maximum
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 75-mile radius
• First-time travelers will be considered
