Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 3+ years of critical care experience and AZ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Six-bed Medical Observation/Surgical Unit (MOSU) providing care for post-surgical, post cardiac catheterization/PCI, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, and AKI patients
• Manages unstable arrhythmias and other complex critical care cases
• Staffing ratios vary by acuity: Critical 2:1, Step Down 4:1, Standard 6:1
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with call requirements
• Floating required to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, and Observation units
• Uses medication infusion pumps, rapid infuser, bedside cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and bladder scanner

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with initiation/titration/management of vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring experience required
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills required
• Sepsis management experience required
• Central line, arterial line, and chest tube management experience required
• Blood administration experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a complex, high-acuity patient population
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility for consideration
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days per 13-week contract
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract without guaranteed hours applying
