Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on a cardiovascular med/surg unit, requiring prior travel experience and IL licensure.

Details

• Cardiovascular med/surg unit (4 North) within a cardiovascular-focused hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed (1-2 holidays during contract)
• Floating required to any unit in an RN capacity with a full patient ratio
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment required
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to submission
• Must pass an on-site EKG test (pass/fail) during Day 1 orientation
• New graduates not accepted
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, with 1 from the most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

• Hospital conducts a brief interview (approximately 10-15 minutes) as part of the hiring process
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• A study book will be provided prior to the on-site EKG test
• Failure of the on-site EKG test will result in contract termination
