Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years of acute medical surgical experience and the ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips.
Details
- 38-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for Neurology, Stroke, and medical patients
- Patient ratios generally 1:4 or 1:5
- 12-hour shift flex rotation covering both day (7a-7:30p) and night (7p-7:30a) shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Uses auto med dispensing systems
- Epic experience is a plus
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Acute Medical Surgical nursing required
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Experience with auto med dispensing systems required
- Surgical, Neuro, and Ortho experience preferred
- Must pass a telemetry test on day 1 of assignment
- Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B)
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit treating Neurology, Stroke, and medical patients
- Floating and rotating shift schedule required to meet unit needs
- Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility are considered local
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
