Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position providing critical care respiratory services.

Details

Provides respiratory care across various critical care units, including adult and pediatric emergency room settings
Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 13-week assignment
Utilizes ventilator management, arterial blood gases, CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy, CPT, and aerosolized medications
Uses computerized documentation system

Requirements

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC required
Active Maryland state license required if applicable
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
BLS certification via AHA required
ACLS certification required
Comparable facility size experience required based on assigned facility bed count

Additional Information

Participates in CPR/code team response
Evaluates patients with respiratory illness and provides direct treatment
Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate for most facilities
Facilities with 60+ mile radius restrictions do not allow local candidates
