Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 1.5 years of ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Uses Epic charting system (experience preferred)
• Manages patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and cardiac/respiratory complications

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with arterial line and central line care/management
• Proficient in IV therapy, continuous IV sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and ABG interpretation
• Skilled in ETT and NT suctioning
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and proper PPE use

Additional Information

• Provide direct ICU nursing care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia management
• Responsible for managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and respiratory complications
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
