Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night-shift position requiring CA RN licensure and ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Acute care hospital Emergency Department setting
- 356 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Every other weekend required, with 6-8 shifts per contract
- May float to Pediatrics with support available if needed
- May also be required to float to an affiliated Providence facility in San Pedro
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Pending licenses not accepted
Additional Information
- Provide emergency department nursing care across a variety of patient acuities
- Any scrub color permitted
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO must be submitted at time of application
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
- Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period
