Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring Maine licensure and at least 3 years of CT experience including angiography.
Details
- Radiology department setting performing diagnostic CT exams including angiography and biopsy procedures
- Also required to perform diagnostic x-ray exams during overnight hours
- Overnight shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM
- Works independently overnight, covering both CT and x-ray needs
- Possible 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active Maine CT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 3 years of CT technologist experience required
- Proficiency in all diagnostic CT imaging including angiography and biopsy procedures
- Experience performing diagnostic x-ray exams
- Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
- Ability to work independently overnight
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic CT exams including angiography and biopsy procedures, as well as diagnostic x-ray exams overnight
- Works independently during overnight shift with no on-site support staff
- Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are accepted at a reduced bill rate
- Local travelers are not eligible for renewal or extension of this assignment
- Candidates who worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for this 13-week contract
- Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit

Pros
This hospital is hands down the least toxic hospital I have ever had the privilege of working. I absolutely love the people I work with. Everyone I come into contact with likes what they do and they do it with passion. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s close.
Cons
It’s a smaller hospital, so there’s a lot of critical care devices (CRRT, ECMO, etc) to work with like level 1 trauma centers have.
