Description

American Traveler is hiring a per diem CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and Philips equipment proficiency for a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Imaging department at a tertiary teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center and busy Emergency Center
• PRN schedule requiring a minimum of 4 days per month, including at least 1 weekend day (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)
• Varied 12-hour shifts
• Per diem position with no guaranteed hours
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Philips equipment experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• License required if applicable
• Traveler experience preferred

Additional Information

• Sets up, monitors, and operates CT equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures
• Positions and transfers patients using proper safety and lifting techniques
• Prepares and administers IV contrast media per radiologist protocol
• Monitors patients for allergic reactions and assists in emergency medical situations including basic CPR
• Maintains image quality, performs daily equipment calibration, and ensures quality control per department guidelines
• Assists radiologists and other physicians with specialized radiological procedures
• Instructs new personnel and participates in departmental quality improvement initiatives
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO may be requested
• Candidates living within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to reduced travel rates
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
