Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring fresh open heart experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- Work in the Cardiothoracic ICU (CVT - Cardiovascular-Thoracic ICU) of a hospital
- Night shift schedule (3x12 Hours, 7p-7a)
- Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:4
- Epic charting system experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
- Fresh open heart experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
- Experienced in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory suctioning
- Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation
- Experience with CABG, post cardiac surgery care, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and LVAD/RVAD management
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Swan Ganz monitoring and sheath removal
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for cardiac surgery and cardiovascular ICU patients, including fresh post-op open heart cases
- Facility performs its own pre-employment drug screen upon arrival in addition to standard credentialing requirements
- No RTO accommodations during major holiday weeks
- Candidates residing in Moore County are not eligible for travel pay rates
- Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be considered for contract positions
