Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring a VT or compact license and charge nurse capability.
Details
- Critical access hospital setting with 25 beds
- Combined Med/Surg, PCU, and Telemetry patient population
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, including every other weekend
- Floating required to other units such as ED and MCH as needed
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active VT or compact RN license required upon acceptance
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, PCU, and Telemetry units
- Perform charge nurse responsibilities as needed
- Facility located in a small town near the Canadian border with limited public transportation, so personal transportation is strongly recommended
- Area offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
- Required to attend department quarterly education sessions
- Supportive team environment to assist with transition
