Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTAC MS/Tele/PCU unit requiring EPIC EMR experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• LTAC unit specializing in Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, and Progressive Care patient populations
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to unit needs
• Floating required to other units and campuses based on census needs, limited to competency-qualified areas
• Uses Omnicell medication system
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care including medication administration, cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and wound care for complex LTAC patients
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, and PICC lines as needed
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility, with a reduced rate for 90-99.9 miles, unless night shift Adult ICU exception applies requiring 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital
• Travelers cannot extend beyond a third consecutive 13-week contract without converting to employee status, and must take a 6-month separation if not converting
