Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician with 2+ years of Cath Lab/EP experience and RCIS or RAD certification for an acute care hospital assignment.
Details
- Works in a multidisciplinary cath lab supporting patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedures
- Facility performs structural heart, diagnostic and therapeutic coronary, and peripheral procedures
- Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional extended hours to complete scheduled cases
- No on-call duty required
Requirements
- RCIS or RAD certification required (license required if applicable)
- BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience required
- Degree in related field (BA, BS, BSN, AA) or equivalent years of experience required
- Must be able to scrub and pan for peripheral and diagnostic studies
- Experience in other cardiac specialties is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities and maintain confidentiality
Additional Information
- Performs scrub and monitoring duties utilizing catheterization equipment while applying prescribed procedures for radiology imaging equipment operation
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must have at least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the relevant specialty area
