Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN requiring prior travel assignment experience and successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test.

Details

• Surg/Nursing unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour varied shifts, 3 days per week
• Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred, training provided on-site

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact State RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• ADN or ASN required
• Minimum 2 years current ICU specialty experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
• Must successfully pass an onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to starting the assignment, with one retake opportunity allowed

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population and procedure-specific education and competency testing per unit standards
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Previous Presbyterian Health Services staff must wait one year before being reconsidered for a travel assignment
