Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric and infant echo experience for a day shift assignment requiring ARDMS or CCI certification.

Details

• Perform echocardiography services across adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, ICU, pediatric acute care, and pediatric outpatient settings
• Caseload includes pediatric anomalies such as coarctation of the aorta, tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of the great vessels, and hypoplastic heart syndrome
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call required
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, Hitachi, Toshiba, SonoSite, and PACS equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience required
• ARDMS certification required; CCI may be considered in its place
• BLS required
• Travel experience strongly preferred unless candidate has a strong work history
• Experience with adult and pediatric 2-D echo, color Doppler, M-mode, and portable studies required
• Pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, TEE, RVIT, and RVOT skills preferred
• Experience with diastology, LV strain/volume, and Simpson's Rule calculations preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted

Additional Information

• Perform a range of 2-D, 3-D, color Doppler, and stress echocardiogram studies on adult and pediatric patients
• Conduct procedures on patients in ICU and ED settings
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance required
• Management or lead experience preferred
• First-time travelers may be considered with a strong work history
