Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a day shift role requiring ARRT(M) certification and current CO state license.

Details

• Breast imaging center setting at a dedicated Breast Center
• Performs mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assists with breast ultrasound biopsy procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable
• ARRT(M) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Working knowledge of mammography and stereotactic equipment, protocols, contrast agents, and sterile techniques
• Must be able to work with adolescent through geriatric patient populations

Additional Information

• Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging
• Reviews patient requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnosis and demographic accuracy
• Conducts and documents quality control to ensure equipment meets MQSA and ACR safety standards
• Communicates and educates patients throughout the breast imaging process
• Presents completed exams to radiologists and communicates pertinent findings for patient care continuity
• Schedules and coordinates breast imaging appointments
• Assists with department workflow management and ensures accurate patient charges
• Monitors and orders medical supply inventory
• Participates in new employee orientation and breast health education events
• Maintains 24 CEU credits per ARRT guidelines every two years and current CPR certification
• Must be HIPAA compliant
