Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring active NY licensure and EPIC charting experience.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
• Performs vascular studies and procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography
• Day shift schedule combining two 8-hour and two 10-hour shifts (7:00-17:30)
• 36 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities
• One weekend required every 4-week block, plus 2-3 weekdays
• Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes when called in
• One holiday on-call shift required
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with pressure ulcer assessment and prevention
• Proficient in sheath removal and monitoring
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Knowledge of radiation and laser safety protocols
• Familiarity with Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale

Additional Information

• Neurointerventional experience is a plus
• Provide direct patient care during interventional radiology and vascular procedures
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must have no more than 10 days of requested time off
• Returning staff must not have worked at this facility within the past 6 months system-wide
