Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring strong OR experience and MN licensure.

Details

• Operating Room unit in an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Day (3x12, 6:45a-7:15p) or Evening (3x12, 2:45p-3:15a) shifts, with 5x8, 3x12, or 4x12 schedules considered
• Multiple start times available: 0645, 0900, 1100, and 1445
• Weekend shifts required as needed per department
• On-call required as needed per department
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• Open to block scheduling
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required, with strong Operating Room background
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with OR specialties and procedures may include vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, bariatrics, and neurology cases
• Minimum 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Date of birth, SSN, and RTO details required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must complete required pre-start modules prior to starting the assignment
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration under current local rules
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked in a perm staff or per diem role
• RTO requests ideally should not exceed 5 days
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pending MN license applicants may be considered, with license finalized upon offer acceptance
