Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center position requiring combined adult/pediatric emergency experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
• Part of a larger health system
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (0700-1930)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required if needed
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring/emergency response required
• Central line care/management and skill starting and maintaining IVs required
• Experience with IV vasopressors required
• CPAP/BiPAP management and care of ventilated patients required
• Isolation precautions/PPE and triage experience required
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias in a combined adult/pediatric ER setting
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the hospital
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered
