Description

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with MICU/SICU experience for a day-shift assignment requiring a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• ICU setting at a hospital campus
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 1:2 patient ratio on all shifts unless floated to med/surg
• Floating to med/surg and critical care units as needed
• Epic EMR used, experience required

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required Epic charting system experience
• Required work setting experience: Medical ICU and Surgical ICU
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care/management, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and ABG interpretation required
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medical and surgical ICU patients, including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Scrub color required: royal blue
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Minimal RTO requested, with no holiday time off approved
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
• Local candidates not accepted if within 75 miles of the hospital site
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered
