Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CT or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• ICU setting with Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit patient populations
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Float to med/surg and critical care units at the campus as needed
• 1:2 patient ratio on all shifts unless floated to med/surg
• Epic EMR used, experience required
• Free parking in any unrestricted space
• Royal blue scrub color required

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Medical Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, and ABG interpretation
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation and emergency medications
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide direct ICU-level care including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and emergency response
• Facility is a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with over 1000 beds
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemption only
• Minimal RTO requested, with none during holidays
• Local candidates not accepted if within 75 miles of the hospital
• Previous staff must have been gone at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered
