Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry unit requiring 2+ years of recent experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Step down unit setting with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend shift required every two weeks
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team activation preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and blood product administration preferred

Additional Information

• Care for patients requiring telemetry and stepdown-level monitoring
• Orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility criteria for certain distances
