Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg/PCU RN for a night shift position at a critical access hospital, requiring VT or compact RN licensure and charge nurse capability.

Details

• Work in a combined Med/Surg, PCU, and Telemetry unit within a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7p-7a including every other weekend
• Floating to other units such as ED and MCH may be required based on need

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required upon acceptance
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience required
• Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties

Additional Information

• Perform charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Attend department quarterly education sessions
• Located in Newport, Vermont near the Canadian border in the Northeast Kingdom, an area known for outdoor recreation such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
• Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit
• Support provided throughout the transition to the new work environment
