Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience in the specialty.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital environment
- Day shift schedule, 07:00-19:30
- Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week
- No call requirements
- Float to similar units as needed
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current NRP certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
Additional Information
- Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data
- Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
- Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
- Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice staff
- Participate in hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based practice efforts
- Demonstrate ongoing professional growth through goal setting and continuing education
