Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and current Epic charting system proficiency.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
- Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg Tele unit required
- Acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required for inpatient RN travelers
- Epic EMR experience required, within past 12 months preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher passing score on adult and pediatric exams
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and IV therapy
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in wound care, respiratory management, and GI/GU care are valued
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Two attempts allowed to pass telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
- First-time travelers considered if candidate has 3 years of recent inpatient med/surg/tele experience
- Free onsite parking available
