Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring a KY or compact RN license and offering a weekend-only schedule.

Details

• Work in a Surgical Services department including Pre-Op, 20 ORs, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing
• Provides 24/7 inpatient and outpatient surgical care
• 2x12-hour day shifts, Saturday and Sunday, 7a-7:30p
• No call required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior OR nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions within scope of practice
• Coordinate care across the surgical team including admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Provide patient and family education and support discharge planning with case management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
