Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent experience with one completed travel assignment.
Details
- Medical Surgical Combination unit in a 205-licensed-bed hospital
- Adult patient population with a 1:6 patient ratio and high turnover
- 7A-7P shift schedule with every other weekend required
- Rare floating possible to inpatient rehab or ER for task-based support
- No on-call requirements
- Uses the Paragon EHR system
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment
- Must be able to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and insert NG tubes
- Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips required
Additional Information
- Works in a Joint Commission accredited, Duke Lifepoint hospital with an A rating in LeapFrog Hospital Safety
- Facility features the region's largest ED and free-standing ED along with an advanced ICU and PCU
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
