Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho unit with 24 beds
- Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
- Mixed diagnosis patient population
- Uses Epic and Galaxy Blue charting systems
- Night shift, 6:45p-7:15a
- Every other weekend required per unit need
- 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- 2 years of acute inpatient tele RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Must be able to read telemetry and titrate heparin
- Skills in IVs, CPAP, trach care, wound vac, PCA, dialysis fistula, central line care, and feeding tubes required

- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
