Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN Step Down/PCU for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Placement on a PCU, Med-Surg, or Stepdown/Telemetry unit based on traveler's skill set and facility need
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Floating required within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills validation required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start date
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address

Additional Information

• Care provided based on unit assignment, which may include PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry patients depending on facility need
• Candidates should only be submitted to one Ascension position system-wide
• Travelers should discuss assignment extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the end date
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
