Description
American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for a night shift long-term assignment requiring NRP and PALS certification.
Details
- NICU setting providing critical care to neonatal patients
- Responsible for infant transport to and from referral health systems
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- On-call requirement
Requirements
- Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable (North Dakota and Minnesota)
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Current ACLS certification from AHA
- Current PALS certification from AHA
- Current NRP certification
Additional Information
- Performs patient evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic and therapeutic treatments
- Provides patient and family education and support
- Documents care, including EMR entries, medication charting, and incident reports
- Disassembles, cleans, and maintains respiratory equipment per protocol
- Communicates patient changes and pertinent information to care team members
- Processes patient charges and verifies reports as needed
