Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night-shift travel assignment requiring chemo administration experience and an active AK RN license.

Details

Medical Surgical Oncology unit in an acute care hospital setting
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
Weekend coverage required, potentially more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs
May float to like units within the facility to meet staffing needs
No on-call responsibilities
Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

Active AK RN license required (license pending accepted during application, but must be in hand for auto offer)
BLS and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience required
Chemo administration experience required

Additional Information

Provide medical-surgical oncology nursing care, including chemotherapy administration
Facility is a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
Scrubs provided by the facility
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN and must live outside a 50-mile radius
Time off requests are approved on an individual basis at time of offer
