Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Step Down for a telemetry unit, requiring 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Telemetry Unit setting within a hospital
• May be placed on a PCU, Med-Surg, or Stepdown unit based on skill set and facility need
• 13-week assignment with a 07:00-19:30 shift schedule
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills validation required

Additional Information

• Care for telemetry patients requiring close cardiac monitoring on a stepdown or PCU-level unit
• Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
• Should begin discussing extension with manager 45 days prior to assignment end date
