Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring 1.5+ years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

- Medical Surgical Combination unit
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant nursing experience required
- AHA certifications required
- Active Nursys/licensure required at time of consideration
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide medical surgical and telemetry nursing care
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis

Doctors and most of staff are nice. Surgeries are not hard.
Cons
No staff so a lot of call. You will be on call within your first week or two, even if you don't know how to do anything. Unorganized. The director and supervisor don't know anything about the OR nor are they helpful. New staff are not properly trained. Everything falls on the OR nurse to do. They preop in house patients getting surgery. A couple of OR staff are bullies and lazy, they all think they are the boss. They tell the charge nurse what they are going to do and not going to do. Its like high school all over. Had to leave out of fear for my license.
