Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for a hybrid role supporting complex case management across inpatient and community settings, requiring CA RN licensure and inpatient case management experience.
Details
- Supports complex case management across the health system and virtually in the community
- May float between Emeryville and San Francisco offices as needed
- Hybrid schedule with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 0800-1630
- Uses Epic charting system
- Case load ratio of 1:25
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient case management experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with utilization review, discharge planning, and care coordination
- Familiarity with InterQual criteria, CMS guidelines, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Experience in Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs, or ambulatory settings preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include admission criteria review, concurrent and continued stay reviews, discharge planning, disease management, prior authorizations, and retrospective reviews
- Coordinates needs assessments and durable medical equipment orders
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate
- Local candidates accepted at the local rate
- Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- Can only be submitted to one Sutter Health facility at a time
