Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and VA/compact licensure.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract length
• Required to float between two facility locations (Haymarket and the primary site) for ICU/ICCU needs
• All other floating required within scope of practice
• Epic charting system used, with a test-out option available

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required in-hand
• 2+ years of current, strong Labor and Delivery experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
• Experience circulating C-sections and C-section recovery required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
• One reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required for this system (exemptions must be submitted upfront for review)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, circulating for C-sections, and C-section recovery care
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
• No mile radius rule in place
• RTO must be submitted with the profile and cannot be changed after manager review; no more than 10 days of RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO preferred during the first week
• Former staff must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler, with case-by-case review possible within that timeframe
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
