Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist for a critical access hospital in Eastern Montana, requiring 2+ years experience and the ability to work independently performing both CT and x-ray exams.
Details
- Critical access hospital setting
- Responsible for performing both CT and x-ray exams
- Night shift schedule, 4x9 hour shifts, 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, Monday-Thursday
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience required
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
- State license required upon acceptance, if applicable
- Must be able to work independently
Additional Information
- Perform both CT and x-ray diagnostic imaging exams
- Independent work expected given the critical access hospital setting

Pros
Hospital staff is very friendly to travel staff, unit staff can be much more guarded. The physicians, NP, Pharmacists and Clinic staff are very knowledgeable. Communication between departments can be broken with infusion. Top notch equipment and supplies. Clean environment. Dietary always willing to accommodate the needs of the patients. Lab staff always helpful, pleasant and inviting.
Cons
High probability that Friday 1/2 day shift will not be supported by on-site clinician. Non-chemo patients not supported. Often times PCP not reachable. Flow of patients can be unpredictable at times. Potential for patients remaining in department after operating hours with minimal support staff.
