Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/IMU position requiring 1.5+ years of critical care experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• ICU/IMU unit with 16 beds in an adult acute care hospital
• Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, IMU 3:1, Tele 1:5
• 12-hour night shift (7P-7A) with every other or every third weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required
• Uses cardiac monitors, Hill-Rom Progressive Care beds with scale, Abbott Glucometer, EndoTool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, and Baxter IV pumps
• Bedside dialysis capability available
• Meditech EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Associate degree required, BSN preferred
• EKG interpretation skills and critical thinking required
• Knowledge of critical drip titration, including vasopressors and sedation, required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including COPD, ARF, DKA, sepsis, and shock
• Reports to Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse
• Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable personality preferred
• Artificial nails not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
