Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of circulating experience and an active RN license (Standard or Compact).
Details
- Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital environment
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM) with rotating late shifts until 7:00 PM 1-2 times per week
- On-call responsibilities are currently covered but may become required
- Uses Meditech charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of circulating OR experience required
- Meditech charting experience required
- Surgical specialty skills required across Thoracic, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Ortho/Spine, and Urology procedures
- Experience with cell saver equipment required
- Proficiency in emergency management, fire safety, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management required

- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- No requested time off (RTO) will be accepted for this assignment
