Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Sonographer II with 2+ years of Maternal-Fetal Medicine experience and ARDMS OB/OB-GYN certification.

Details

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine outpatient clinic setting
• Performs comprehensive fetal assessments including fetal echocardiography, detection of fetal anomalies, and high-risk pregnancy evaluations
• Conducts gynecologic imaging studies and real-time ultrasound guidance for invasive obstetric procedures
• Days schedule with 4x9hr shifts plus a half-day Friday (4 shift)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Familiarity with fetal echocardiography, MCA dopplers, and fetal anatomy required
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography/General Ultrasound program or equivalent certificate program required (waived if ARDMS certification was obtained before December 2000)
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS registration in OB and OB-GYN required
• License required if applicable
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification preferred
• Ability to provide ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis and CVS preferred

Additional Information

• Independently performs detailed fetal anatomical surveys, fetal well-being evaluations (biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler studies, amniotic fluid volume assessments), and maternal pelvic imaging including transvaginal cervical assessment
• Provides real-time ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures and supports MFM specialists during complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Acquires and analyzes color, power, and spectral Doppler waveforms to document fetal and maternal hemodynamics
• Communicates sonographic findings and impressions clearly and promptly to supervising physicians
• Provides training and clinical support to residents, fellows, ultrasound students, medical students, and advanced practice provider trainees
• Supports new-hire onboarding as requested
