Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a 13-week day shift contract requiring stroke/neuro experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• First to float as needed to similar units within the health system
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration, plus an onsite pass/fail EKG test on orientation day 1
• 2+ years of stroke/neuro experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in the relevant specialty within the last year
• Travel reference preferred
• New graduates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-focused nursing care within a stroke/neuro patient population
• Orientation held every Monday with 16 non-billable hours
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Candidates should expect a brief 10-15 minute interview with the facility prior to starting the assignment
