Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of current cath lab experience for an acute care cardiac cath lab assignment.
Details
- Acute care cardiac cath lab setting at a STEMI receiving facility
- 5 procedure suites: 2 primarily for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular & neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases
- Average of 10-22 cases per day across the unit
- Cases typically staffed with 2 techs (one scrubs, one monitors hemodynamics), with an RN performing conscious sedation; a 4th team member (RN or tech) may join depending on the case
- A Lead Tech coordinates room assignments
- Uses Cerner EMR
- 4x10 hour day shifts, every other weekend
- Rotating call coverage for inpatient and emergent cases
- Weekend call runs from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs
- First to float within the unit
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current cath lab experience required
- ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certification required (RCIS or CCT not accepted)
- License required if applicable
- Experience with cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, EP, general IR, and neuro intervention procedures
- Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
- Experience with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors
- Experience with balloon pumps
Additional Information
- Perform coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and EP interventional procedures as part of a collaborative care team
- Scrub and monitoring roles are shared between two techs per case
- Rad badge provided by the agency
