Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulating and total joints experience along with holiday on-call availability.
Details
- Work in a Surgical Services Unit consisting of 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Endoscopy Suite
- Handles 40-50 cases per week, varying by service line from 1-4/5 cases to 12 Endo procedures per day
- Performs Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, OB/GYN, General surgery, and Endoscopy procedures
- Day shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:00 PM, 36 hrs/week
- On-call requirement of 1 weekend per month and 3-4 nights per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years current OR experience required
- Circulating experience required
- Total joints experience required
- Proficiency required in Ortho, General, Endo, Sports Medicine, GYN, and C-Section cases
- Scrub experience highly preferred but not required
- Previous travel experience highly preferred
- Operating Room skills checklist required
- One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required
Additional Information
- Must be willing to work and take call during the Christmas/New Year's holidays
- This is a small, critical access facility, so RTO requests should be limited
- Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility
- Local candidates are not accepted
