Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of med/surg and short stay experience with a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days and 1:6 at nights
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU units
• Meditech charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/surg and short stay unit experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Join a welcoming and collaborative care team in a newly built facility
• Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
